I have had Fibromyalgia for some years now. A disease that hurts in all bones and joints.
It also makes my skin particularly sensitive. Touch of my skin often hurts like needles. nothing must tighten or press on the skin. I find it especially difficult to sit down, even for shorter periods of time and especially, in the car. I can sit there for a maximum of ten to fifteen minutes at a time. The arm cushions for armrests on the wheelchair have really helped and provide a comfortable comfort instead of the otherwise hard armrests, which cause pressure and pain for the citizen. Nurse confirmed that the leg support cushion worked fine for relieving the heel to citizen with heavy legs. It had been a problem to find relief, which was comfortable, but with this gutter shape on the no. 109.2 leg support cushion, the citizen got both stability, safe relief and airflow to the leg.
Caregiver choose armrest with gutter shape for older woman with pain in the arm, so that the arm could lie both stable and with good pressure relief.
The occupational therapist needed a knee pad for the disabled girl, who was lying on her side a lot, to spare unnecessary pressure between the knees. With the knee pad the knees and legs were thus given a more balanced position, which is more comfortable and gentle for both hips, back and lower back.
Physiotherapist choose knee support no. 124 with a height of 12 cm, because it was best suited for an adult citizen to provide good relief of the lower back in supine position.
Since a thin citizen needed both fixation and relief of the leg, the occupational therapist choose the soft leg cushion with a gutter shape.

have a lady who “throws” herself down on the toilet. It is a regular toilet where a backrest is needed. ‘m wondering if one of your new backrests will be able to be put on the inside of the lid on the toilet seat so she hits the cushion instead of the folded lid? Hope my query makes sense 😊

We usually always choose the Harmony positioning cushions for bed placements, as they are firm and
stable. They are also heavy, so residents can not so easily move on them and kick them

I have now been using Harmony Long cushion for about 14 days. Got it as I felt a lack of support for my leg and lower back at night due to sciatica problems. That’s the best thing I’ve done for myself It is Super good for providing rest and relief. Highly recommended to get Soft-Cell cover on the long pillow, as it is nice and smooth and not so hot to lie with Super happy with my purchase.

Katarina Rickan nurse on Neonatal department on Astrid Lindgrens Barnsjukhus, Stockholm Sweden describes:
In the Neonatal department, we use the SAFE Med Neonatal mattress-incubator mattress and the mattress is cut and used in smaller parts for positioning and relief of the head, ears and arms. The small cut cushions can be used without a cover and alternatively covered with a thin cotton sheet. Advantagen uses of this type of neonatal mattress is that it can be sterilized at high temperatures in an autoclave, can be machine washed at 80°C and dried in a warming cabinet, alternatively the incubator mattress can be driedtumblet It provides security to minimize the occurrence of bacteria. It is an advantage that the incubation mattress can be cut and adapted to the child’s size and needs. It can be reused as it is machine washable. The neonatal incubator mattress is not expensive and for the safety of the child, mattress pieces are used for positioning and only for a period of 2-3 times washing and then thrown away.
We cut incubator mattress with free hand, and we have no specific measurements. I order a large mattress no. 101IC.3 size 200x100x2.5 cm, which we cut into the measurements we need.
For example, we cut a piece of mattress for the head and cut a hole where a needle sits, so that there is no pressure.. Headpiece is placed in a pillowcase. Likewise, we cut pieces into tiny sleeping pads and cut holes in them for total relief of various body parts. Among other things, we do this to relieve children with poor circulation due to, for example, asphyxiation.. As a mattress under the child, the mattress piece is placed in a pillowcase.

Nursing home caregivers stated:
We need more waterproof covers for overlay mattresses that can be wiped off and sprayed with disinfection liquid.. Citizen who has the Comfor™PUR incontinence cover from you is so satisfied, and it holds up so nicely while being elastic and breathable. The cover we have has also been machine washed and tumble dried several times.
When ordering several Comfor ™ PUR incontinence covers, the aid center manager stated that they were very durable. They had covers that were three years old, and now they needed some more of the same waterproof covers. It is an important property that the covers can be sprayed with alcohol solution.
The social and health assistant at the residence had looked and looked for full-covering incontinence cover for the overlay mattress, because the resident was lying very restless in his bed, and it was getting wet again and again. We use the prone positioning system no. 135OP for anal fistula operations, Epsit (pilonidal cyst surgeries). We use the cushions of the prone positioning system for abdominal bed procedures where the patient is placed awake.
Leg cushion heel lift double no. 123OP.2 we use for supine position operations together with the knee support.
Leg cushion single no. 123OP.1 we use for leg splits for bla lap. liver, fundoplication, when the anastomosis at the rectum is to be made, etc.
We use the knee support together with the leg cushion to relieve the patient’s lumbar and spine. many different operations.
When using knee supports, it is also advisable to use leg cushion for heel relief of the pressure on the heels.
